Assistant Admissions Director
B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from Virginia Tech
Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University
Sixth year at LKS
I started working at LKS after graduating from college. I had previously worked in psychological research contributing to longitudinal studies focused on early-detection for autism at Virginia Tech and UVA and running summer camps for a local country club. I was looking for a place to combine my two interests and found LKS to be a great fit. I began as a Teacher’s Aide and then was the Madison Dorm counselor for two years. I left LKS for a few years to go to graduate school and focused on clinical interventions within the education setting. After graduate school, I worked as a clinician doing intensive in-home, outpatient and mental health support services at a local counseling agency working with children and families. I also worked at an early-intervention center serving children with developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders, regulatory and sensory processing disorders, and language impairment. In 2013, I returned to LKS to work in Admissions.
I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing with my dog, River, soccer, reading, cooking and baking. A neat fact about me – I grew up in Keswick and my parents were both special education teachers.
