“There is a saying, ‘We do not get where we are by accident.’ For me, this statement is particularly true. It was not until I had children that I became intimately (and sometimes painfully) aware that I would become a lifetime advocate for children with unique needs. Keswick School is a community that understands and values the importance of social-emotional learning and executive functioning skill building. I’m excited to be part of such a student-centered organization.”
Karie enjoys soapmaking, solving logic problems, and cuddling with her pet pig “Trouble” on her hobby farm. Karie takes in special needs and senior animals and is dedicated to helping them live their best possible lives. Karie and her husband Brian are the owners of a small business “Simply Blue Dog Farm.” Karie is a life-long learner and is excited to be starting her Ph.D. program.
