Caleb graduated from James Madison University in 2015 and received his Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisville in 2018. He has an extensive background as a counselor and behavior specialist with a network of non-profit camps founded to serve children with life-altering medical conditions and special needs. After graduating, he moved to the Charlottesville area and worked as an SLP with both elementary and middle school age cohorts in the Charlottesville City School system. Outside of his primary role in the school system, he owns an online practice where he specializes in targeting articulation/phonological disorders, language development, executive functioning, and social-emotional communication.
“Upon my first campus visit, I felt a sense of belonging, kinship, and wonder at the transformational work that was happening here. As an SLP, I specialize in facilitating communication by teaching social communication, executive functioning/planning, and self-advocacy skills that allow for personal, academic, and social growth. I have an unwavering passion for mentorship, service, and helping others overcome obstacles that once seemed insurmountable. This has guided my pursuits as a camp counselor, speech-language pathologist, and officer in the Army.”
Outside of work, Caleb currently serves in the Army Reserves. He is also an avid musician and spends his free time playing music, adventuring outdoors, exercising and spending quality time with his wife, friends, and family.
